Diaper Rash

My poor boy......

I have never seen a lil man, who get so many diaper rashes,( and I work at a daycare center) it must be just sensitive skin, or maybe allergic reaction maybe, he gets them so often and I am not sure whats causing them. They are so red and so sore. He screams when we change his bum, and when he has to take a bath. We just get one all cleared up and its seems like maybe a week or 2 later here comes another one.And we use everything and anything, we change him every 2 hours, as soon as he poops, we even let him run around teh house with no diaper on, yes there has been pee and poop on my floor, i will do anything not see him in pain. Tonight when changing him, i had to hold him down while Matt changed him.
So I am asking if  anyone has any ideas why my son could be getting  them so often and what do you use on them that would  be greatly appercaited.

  1. I think Maddy gets the same thing and it's due to sensitive skin...I have to bath her every night just to put her at ease...mind you = she also gets a hivey rash on her butt cheeks as well.

  2. Cole gets them often, even now that he is wearing underwear. It's definitely the wipes in our case, we use Little Goats Milk Cream or Ihles Paste, both seem to work the best. If it gets too bad you should definitely see your doctor to get something medicated prescribed. We've had to do that too and it helps within a day.

  3. I agree with Ashley that you should consult your doctor.

When giving him a bath make sure the water is luke-warm and no bubble baths, it can make the diaper rash worse or painful!

Read online for a few home remedies, I saw something with oatmeal to sooth the pain might be worth a try!

    Hope Walker feels better sooN!

  4. What brand of diapers do you use? Sometimes, like with Pampers, the diapers are quite scented. Ashton gets a bad rash from certain brands of diapers and when the cloth ones we use during the day need to be stripped. With all my boys I have had to use the "gentle" or "sensitive" version of everything.

  5. Thanks Everyone for your comments. We have been to the Dr and found out that Walker has very senstive skin and we are suppose to use everything sensitive. We also used the Goats Milk cream that Ashley suggest and work amazingly, I also have sensitive skin!
